About the project:
Under the project have been implemented activities related to rehabilitation of pressurized water supply and sewerage networks, procurement and replacement of pumping equipment, rehabilitation of artesian wells in Orhei, Soroca and Stefan Voda, rehabilitation of wastewater treatment plants, refurbishment of pumping stations premises, procurement of maintenance equipment, institutional strengthening of participating Apa Canal (water utilities).
TCD team has financially managed civil works contracts and continuously monitored the work schedule and monitored the cash-flow in relation to the planned schedules, and as well:
- Assessed and recorded the daily work done by the specialists;
- Processed monthly payment certificates;
- Accepted and/or approved the contractors’ programmes, construction techniques and materials, site installations;
- Checked the materials used during works;
- Managed amendments and contract variations;
- Prepared progress, technical and contractual reports.
Good project management by TCD experts has contributed considerably to the successful completion within the deadlines and budget of the following projects:
- Water networks construction works: Approximately 118 km of pressurized water supply pipelines, with pipe diameters up to DN600 mm, were replaced versus the planned 60 km.
- Wastewater networks construction works: A total of 11.6 km of sewerage network were rehabilitated in Cahul and Orhei. Pumping stations, a potable water reservoir, chlorination plant and WWTP were rehabilitated.
- The replacement of pumping equipment has been done in the following pumping stations:
- Pumping stations: (20 booster pumping sets/control units/valves/sensors/accessories):
- Deep wells pumps: (23 pumps /control units/valves/sensors/accessories):
- Sewage pumping stations (SPS): (12 pumps /control units/valves/sensors/accessories)
